FREE Blanket Chart Download

To blanket or not to blanket? Here’s your cheat sheet.

Every fall the barn group chat asks the same thing: what is everyone putting on tonight?  This free blanket chart takes the guesswork out of it with a simple guide for clipped and unclipped horses at every temperature, from crisp fall evenings to bitter cold.

How it works:

• Find the temperature
• Check whether your horse is clipped or unclipped
• See the recommended weight, from no blanket to a double blanket
• Use the Notes column to customize it for your horse (hard keeper, runs warm, senior, or wears a hood)

Includes 6 versions:

• Fahrenheit and Celsius
• Three colorways for each: pastel, sage green, and printer-friendly grayscale

Hang it in the feed room, stick it on your blanket bin, or share it with your barn manager so everyone’s on the same page. Every horse is different, so treat this as a starting point and adjust for wind, rain, shelter, and your horse’s own comfort.
